I have never been a huge fan of the holiday season. You can call me a bad person for saying that, but there’s really nothing that you can say to make me change my feelings towards the holiday season. I don’t really want to get into the reasons why the holidays don’t make me feel the joy that so many other people experience during this time of the year, but it’s safe to say that I’m not driving around and listening to any type of holiday music.
Instead of dealing with all of the stress of the holidays, I am having my own personal winter getaway this year. While everyone else is running around with nothing but the holiday season on their minds, I am going to be taking it easy in the city of Ontario. Because I haven’t taken a vacation all year, I have now accumulated enough time to get a nice break from work. I really do enjoy what I do for a living, but I know that by taking a vacation from work, I will be able to recharge my batteries and ensure that I am fully focused when I return to work at the very beginning of 2009.
